On August 28 - September 12, 2010 the 2010 FIBA World Championship be hosted by Turkey in their huge and modern arenas like: Anakara Arena, Halkapinar Sport Hall, Sinan Erdendem Dome, Abdi Ipekci Arena and Katseri Arena. These venues will turn on a battle ground come 2010 FIBA World Championship Games begins.
24 Nations including the host Turkey will be competing for the prestigious FIBA Championship Trophy. The teams came through a qualifying rounds from their own Continents in order for them to play worlds, except for the host nation Turkey, Olympic Champion Team USA and the defending 2006 Fiba Champion Spain.
